  • Transition to ASN Grades for Competitive Admissions

    The GPA from the required courses are 40% of the competitive criteria.  The GPA used will only include the grades from the required courses, A grade of "C" or better is required in all classes; and a minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.

  • Applications can be submitted prior to completion of all courses; however, priority selection will be given to those students that are complete by the deadline. All coursework must be successfully completed prior to program entry.

    You must have a valid LPN or Paramedic license to be eligible for the program.

    Applicants must be in "good academic standing" with WGTC. Applicants on academic warning, probation or suspension cannot be accepted into the program.

  • HESI Scores

    A minimum of 75 on the HESI cumulative is required to make application to the RN program. The HESI cumulative score will count 40% of the competitive criteria; and the HESI critical thinking score will count 20%. All applicants must complete these designated sections on the cumulative portion of the exam: Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge and Grammar, Anatomy & Physiology, Learning Profile & Personality Style. All applicants must also complete the critical thinking portion of the exam.

    The conversion score for critical thinking will be used (i.e., 850 = 85).

  • The HESI Exam MUST be taken at Wiregrass. Contact your One-Stop Advisor ASAP if you have questions about this requirement.
